Mountain Guides for the 2008-2009 Season

Job Description:

Accompany groups of 4 to 15 visitors on tours of 8 to 15 days.
Responsible for the preparation of meals (with help from assistants)
Responsible for all equipment
Responsible for a team of assistants

Personal Qualities:

Be able to keep cool under pressure
Know how to prepare basic meals
Have a good sense of communication
Be able to manage a team

Accommodation and food:

You will be housed by the Company, and food is provided during working treks.

Working pattern:

You will have to face two huge seasonal peaks, in December and in February.
Off the circuit, you’ll be resting, with the exception of occasional day trips.

Training:

On arrival you will be given full background briefing on the culture and geology. However, it would be useful for you to have some prior knowledge of the country.

European Mountain Leader (or equivalent)
Single Pitch for Climber leading and supervising groups

Salary:

Commensurate with experience.
